-Jordan Low

Jordan was born with a knack for art and design. Instead of doing his homework, you would find him drawing on it. He developed a fascination of spraying paint on things at an early age and after many years of making a mess, he moved from a small town in New Hampshire down to Boston to continue creating art but more importantly, attempt some type of career in it. He enrolled at The Butera School of Art to study the craft of sign painting and vehicle graphics. The inside of that brownstown classroom is where he picked up an airbrush and paint gun for the first time and a bond was formed.

After graduating, with newly acquired skills and a degree, Jordan decided to continue his schooling in design, graphic creation and application while working for a local sign shop in the city.

In 2011, Jordan left the sign world and took a full time, production paint position at Seven Cycles where he worked along side of some of the most talented crafts people in the custom bike making business. Jordan took to it and rolled. It wasn’t long before he was working 9-5 at Seven on the weekdays and burning the midnight oil on the weekends painting bikes for local and distant custom frame builders under his own brand, “JL”. It was non-stop but everything he wanted. In 2015, Jordan was contacted and hired by Hot Tubes to be the head of paint where he brought new life to the business, met a lot of great people and painted a countless number of outstanding bicycles - some of which went on to win awards at bicycle shows.

In the Fall of 2022, JL Custom Paint was born. This shop will focus on the highest quality paint jobs for enthusiastic clients as well as OEM frame builders and corporate bicycle manufacturing companies.
